About this project
Wheatstone House in Chiswick is an 8-storey new build development consisting of 95 flats with commercial units at the lower level.
The installed SPS Envirowall EWI System incorporates a sheathing board with fillets to create a cavity to the rear of the system, in addition, the mineral wool insulation helps to achieve the required u-value working in conjunction with the acrylic brick slips to match the design approved by the planners. These mechanically fixed bricks were used on the horseshoe-shaped building, the red and the white bricks selected contrast and compliment the surrounding buildings.
The brick slips used on this project were based upon traditional bricks, these were aesthetically matched with the Envirowall brick slips during pre-construction which emphasises the bespoke service Build Therm provided for this project. Being nominated and shortlisted for multiple awards this addition to our portfolio only solidifies what expertise and skill Build-Therm holds.
Special Features
To conform to local planning and ensure the client was satisfied the brick slips specified were white and red matched those designed by the architect. By using our trusted supply chain we were able to ensure that the samples got signed off and approved for the eye-catching project. Using the SPS ‘SpeedySlip’ system we were able to achieve the requirement in a fraction of the time it would have taken using its traditional counterpart.
