13 Oct INCA Award shortlisted for insulated render and brick slips
Howard Gardens has been shortlisted at this year’s Insulated Render and Cladding Association (INCA) Awards!
Alongside SPS Envirowall we are super excited to announce Howard Gardens has made the shortlist within the New Build – Insulation, Clay, Brick, Ceramic or Stone Finish category.
Howard Gardens, Cardiff has seen the introduction of a 390-bedroom complex at the former Cardiff Metropolitan University. The northern building contains 2,3, 4, and 6-bed apartments to house the growing demand for student accommodation in the area.
The facility has been designed and developed to meet high standards of sustainability furthermore reducing ongoing operational running costs. The building used EWI systems with insulated render and brick finish, Through-Fix Rainscreen Cladding Systems which enabled architectural feature fins.
We have been shortlisted for the application of the brick slips and insulated render systems SPSenvirowall’s flexible brick slips are lightweight and boasts an A2-s1, d0 fire-rated classification in accordance with BS EN13501-1, making them suitable for use on high rise buildings such as this.
We look forward to attending the Awards in November and keep our fingers crossed that we come home with an award.
